  • LIA comment to JGMF: "According to McNally, the Dead had a show scheduled in mid-September '68 with Frank Zappa in San Jose, but it was canceled at the last minute due to low ticket sales. His date was wrong, though - the canceled show was actually June 21, at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. (A show poster exists.)
  • "Nine days [after the 9/2/68 Sky River gig] a gig in San Jose with Frank Zappa was canceled due to poor ticket sales, even though such audience as there was had already entered" (McNally 2002, 278).
